Cafe Bali, Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia

Cafe Bali was packed when we entered.  We were lucky enough to arrive the 10 minutes earlier that we did, as 10 minutes later would have seen us with a line up outside the door and onto the roadside.  A mish mash of a menu provides something for everyone's tastes from risotto and pasta, to salads, sushi, steaks, sate, noodles, curry and just about every dessert imaginable. Main meals are priced anywhere from 28k to 85k, cocktails from 70k, wine from 80k and beer from 20k making it one of the more reasonably priced locations on that street.  My Cafe Bali vege risotto was tasty but more like creamy rice and mixed veg than the classic Italian dish. The pumpkin gnocchi with a basil and butter sauce for 49k and the creamy lentil and orange soup for 25k were both devoured with eager gusto.  Good bread, affordable prices, classic colonial ambience.
